We have spaces for 16 children between the ages of 2 to 3 years. The room has ample space to allow for independent and focused play activities. We encourage basic learning skills and work towards the Early Learning Goals. Also, the Nursery is currently working on the SureStart framework for under threes, (Birth to Three Matters). The children will have access to a greater variety of activities and resources to broaden their experiences to support their developing awareness of their environment. The key workers will work closely with the children to encourage their social skills as they become more aware of others. The children's language skills are supported through regular experiences with stories, books, singing, rhymes and talking. Chidlren are also given opportunities to experience everyday objects through heuristic play activities.

We encourage the group to have a sleep usually after lunch, when the room is quiet and those children that do not wish to sleep, are encouraged to rest with quiet and calm activities. We provide rest mattresses for children to sleep on, the sheets and blankets are changed and laundered regularly.

Potty training is also an important part of our routine. We will talk to you when we feel your child may be ready and we supply the child with individual potties.
