This room has places for 6 children under the age of 2 years. We have nappy changing facilities, sleeping area and separate milk preparation facilities. The room is spacious with ample space for focussed and stimulating developmental play. We understand the difficulties faced by parents when leaving young babies in nursery care and provide support by having a key working system. We offer a safe and caring environment for your baby by working closely with parents to create a home from home atmosphere. The Nursery is currently working on the SureStart framework for under threes, (Birth to Three Matters), so an individual developmental map can be created. The children will be given opportunities to explore their surroundings using their senses. Through creative activities they will experience a variety of textures. The key workers provide regular opportunities for the children to experience everyday objects through heuristic play.

We understand smaller babies need to sleep at different times during the day and it can be difficult to adhere to a set routine. A child wanting to go to sleep can sleep whenever they need.

Children will also be changed at any time whenever necessary. We do not supply nappies, wipes or creams. You will be required to provide these and the staff will inform you when supplies get low.
